John practices in the fields of family law (including custody and divorce), criminal law, and personal injury. John finds working with families extremely rewarding. He believes everyone should have as much access to their child as the law will allow, and it is a home run when the children can remain happy even after a divorce.
John is a veteran with 3 years active duty in the United States Army, including a one-year tour in Korea. John is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Shreveport Bar Association, Bossier Bar Association, and serves on the Senate for the Krewe of Justinian. John also served as Float Lieutenant for several years for the Krewe and then as Captain XXIII for the 2017 year. In addition, John previously served on the Benton Metropolitan Commission and is an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church. John is an avid musician who plays and collects guitars and vintage equipment. He spends his spare time playing guitar, hiking, and traveling with his family.
John resides in Shreveport, Louisiana with his wife, Amy, of 20 years , their son, Nate (12), and 2 dogs, Virginia and Emma.
